    Jim Lynch

    Jim Lynch lives with his wife in Olympia, Washington. His novels The Highest Tide, the national bestseller Border Songs and Truth Like the Sun have all been adapted for the stage. He presents his most recent novel, Before the Wind, a grand saga of a sailing-obsessed family.

  • Helen Simonson

    Helen Simonson was born in England and spent her teenage years in a small village in East Sussex. A graduate of the London School of Economics, she has spent the last three decades in the United States and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. Simonson is married, with two grown sons, and is the author of the New York Timesbestselling debut novel Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand. She presents her second novel, The Summer Before the War, a splendid historical novel that offers insights into the manners and morals of small-town British life.
