Jillian Tamaki is a cartoonist and illustrator. She is the co-creator of the graphic novel Skim (with Mariko Tamaki), which was on The New York Times’ Best Illustrated Books of 2008 list and was nominated for four Eisner Awards. Her second collaborative work with Mariko Tamaki, the graphic novel This One Summer, was a New York Times Bestseller and won a Caldecott Honor as well as the 2014 Governor General’s Award for Children’s Illustration. Tamaki's presents SuperMutant Magic Academy, expanded from her Ignatz Award-winning webcomic of the same name and centred around a high school for mutants and witches.
