Featured Authors

Sheena Kamal holds an HBA in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and was awarded a TD Canada Trust scholarship for community leadership and activism around the issue of homelessness. Her debut novel The Lost Ones (US) / Eyes Like Mine (UK) won the 2018 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize, a Strand Magazine Critics Award and Macavity Award for Best First Novel. It has been sold in 15 countries and was a Globe and Mail Bestseller, a Time Magazine Recommended Read, an iBooks Best Book, a Bustle Best Book and a Powell's Pick.

Ausma Zehanat Khan holds a Ph.D. in international human rights law with a specialization in military intervention and war crimes. She is the author of the award-winning Esa Khattak and Rachel Getty mystery series, including The Unquiet Dead, as well as the critically acclaimed Khorasan Archives fantasy series. Her new crime series starring Detective Inaya Rahman debuted with Blackwater Falls, soon to be followed by Blood Betrayal. Khan is also a contributor to the anthologies Private Investigations, Sword Stone Table and The Perfect Crime. A British-born Canadian, Khan now lives in the United States with her husband.

Vaseem Khan is the author of two award-winning crime series set in India, the Baby Ganesh Agency series and the Malabar House historical crime novels. His first book, The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra, was selected by the Sunday Times as one of the 40 best crime novels published 2015-2020, and is translated into 17 languages. In 2021, Midnight at Malabar House won the Crime Writers Association Historical Dagger. The book was also shortlisted for the Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year. Vaseem was born in England, but spent a decade working in India.
