Tom Gauld’s Revenge of Librarians Exhibit

Tom Gauld’s Revenge of Librarians Exhibit

9:00am

Saturday, October 1, 2022

Marilyn Brewer Community Space, October 1 at 9am–7pm ET

Visit the Festival’s Indigo Bookstore in the Marilyn Brewer Community Space to experience the latest work of British cartoonist Tom Gauld. Drawn directly by Gauld’s newest cartoon collection, Revenge of the Librarians. The exhibition highlights the wit and word games that he has become renowned for in his regular columns in The Guardian and The New Scientist. Gauld’s deceptively simple cartoons cast an acerbic, satirical eye on the world of books and the weird machinations of the publishing industry. Revenge of the Librarians cajoles us to come face-to-face with our deepest fears – not least the existential doom of the to-be-read pile!

This exhibition is part of the free events offered at #FestofAuthors22. It is open to the general public. See it on the map here.
