CP24 crime specialist and retired Toronto detective Steve Ryan worked in Toronto’s homicide squad for over a decade. The city’s most infamous crimes were much more than a headline for Ryan, they were his everyday life. Now, he takes to the MOTIVE stage to present his book The Ghosts That Haunt Me, in which he reflects on six of the many cases in his career that greatly impacted him. Hear from Ryan about what it is really like to face Toronto’s dark side, how he found glimmers of hope that good can prevail even while immersed in heartbreaking cases, and why he decided to reflect on some of his experiences in the written form.
