Come and meet Brazilian illustrator, Geraldo Valério, to hear all about his stunning new book, Coco and the Caterpillars—inspired by his love of nature and all the creatures he encountered as a boy in his family garden. There will be stories and then the opportunity to create a butterfly artwork to take home. This is the perfect introduction for young children to the world of caterpillars and butterflies and the magic of the natural world.

Geraldo Valério

Geraldo Valério was born in Brazil, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Drawing, followed by a Master of Arts at New York University. His books, which frequently receive starred reviews, include My Book of Butterflies and My Book of Birds, Two Green Birds, At the Pond (Elizabeth Mrazik-Cleaver Award honor book), Blue Rider, Turn On the Night and Night Runners.
