Join us for an evocative conversation with Canadian Parliamentary Poet Laureate Louise Bernice Halfe (Sky Dancer), who will present two poetry collections: Blue Marrow and The Crooked Good. More than 20 years since its first publication, the critically acclaimed Blue Marrow collection has been beautifully redesigned, remaining a poignant tribute to the indomitable power of Indigenous women of the past and present. The Crooked Good guides the reader on a three-fold journey where the personal, historical and mythic walk hand in hand.
Interviewer: Janet Rogers
Halfe’s newest books are awäsis – kinky and dishevelled, and a new edition of Burning in This Midnight Dream, from Brick Books, 2021.
