Lauren McKeon’s critically acclaimed first book, F-Bomb: Dispatches from the War on Feminism, was a finalist for the Kobo Emerging Writer Prize, a Hill Times book of the year and one of Feminist Book Club’s top five feminist books ever. McKeon is the winner of several National Magazine Awards. Her writing has appeared in HazlittFlareChatelaine, and Best Canadian Essays, on TVO.org and in the book Whatever Gets You Through: Twelve Survivors on Life After Sexual Assault. After working at This Magazine and The Walrus, she is contributing editor at Toronto Life and the deputy editor of Reader’s Digest.

Michelle Parise is an award-winning journalist, writer and performer. She has worked for the CBC for more than two decades, in everything from children’s television to music programming and documentary making, as well as at the helm of many national radio programs. She’s also a soccer player, parent and champion campfire builder. The daughter of Italian immigrants, she was born and raised in Toronto where she still lives today.

Hana Shafi is a writer and artist who illustrates under the name Frizz Kid. Her art and writing explore themes such as feminism, body politics, racism and pop culture. Her first book, It Begins With The Body was selected by CBC books as one of the best poetry books of 2018. Her second book, Small, Broke, and Kind of Dirty: Affirmations for the Real World, a compilation of essays and illustrations, came out in 2020. Hana and her family immigrated to Mississauga from Dubai in 1996, and she now lives in Toronto with her two cute, but sometimes annoying, cats.
