Point of View
One of the most crucial questions a writer needs to ask themselves is which point of view best suits the story they are telling. First person or third person? Just because the story came to you in a certain point of view, doesn’t mean it is the correct one for the story you want to tell. In fact, being in the wrong point of view is one of the most common causes of writer’s block. In this workshop with Shyam Selvadurai, we will look at the advantages and disadvantages of each point of view and examine the questions we must ask ourselves to determine if we are in the proper point of view. The workshop will also teach you how to change points of view if you are in the wrong one. There will be in-class exercises so come prepared to write!
All writing levels are welcome in this 90-minute creative writing masterclass.
