About

Get ready for an enlightening event with award-winning columnist Niigaan Sinclair! Sinclair’s debut collection, Wînipêk, dives into Winnipeg’s complex role in reconciliation, mixing powerful insights on Indigenous heritage and the harsh realities of colonialism. Join us as he discusses his book, shares his own journey and explores resilience, justice and the search for truth.

Moderator: Jesse Wente

The Festival of Indigenous Stories is a two-day celebration with Indigenous writers, artists and storytellers taking centre stage for conversations, readings, performances and activities on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Murray Sinclair is currently in hospital and regrettably cannot participate in the forthcoming scheduled event Toronto International Festival of Authors. While McClelland & Stewart and Senator Sinclair are saddened he is unable to attend, we are hopeful you’ll join us in ensuring the stories, ideas and inspiration contained in his new book, Who We Are, are shared and celebrated. Please pick up a copy from the bookstore.
