About

Calling all crime lovers! Join Nicola Lagioia and Michael Melgaard as they discuss their latest novels, both of which explore our fascination with true crime. Based on months of interviews, court documentation and correspondence with the killers themselves, Lagioia’s The City of the Living takes one of the most violent crimes in recent Italian history and turns it into a captivating thriller that blends fiction and non-fiction. Melgaard’s Not That Kind of Place follows a reporter covering a small town’s unsolved murder and the novel explores our fascination with true crime and the effects of systemic violence. This is sure to be an exciting conversation about human nature and what drives an individual to do wrong.
