Economist Joshua Gans offers a recovery guide to the pandemic economy, in his new book, Economics in the Age of COVID-19, dubbed essential reading about the long-term implications of our current crisis. In this informative discussion, Gans will help you take a step back from the chaos, and understand the broader issues in play, by taking a systematic look at how economic choices are being made in response to COVID-19. He’ll outline the phases of the pandemic economy, from containment to reset to recovery and enhancement. Through this conversation, you’ll learn how containing the virus does not have to be a tradeoff between public health and economic stability. Gans will be interviewed by Ajay Agrawal, Geoffrey Taber Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
