Join Canadian authors Tsering Yangzom Lama and Jamie Chai Yun Liew for a moving conversation reflecting on the emotional cost of leaving home to forge a new life elsewhere – whether by choice or by circumstance – and the need to maintain a connection to ancestral lands. Tsering Yanzom Lama presents We Measure the Earth with Our Bodies, a poignant meditation on colonization, displacement and rebirth recounting a Tibetan family’s fifty-year journey through exile and their struggles to shape new lives. Jamie Chai Yun Liew’s Dandelion is a beautifully written and affecting novel about an Asian woman who must trace her mother’s past journey in order to learn who she really is and where she belongs.
