What would you do if you encountered a ghost? Not for the faint-hearted, this conversation with two leading writers – Kenneth Oppel and Sachiko Kashiwaba – explores the thin veil between the living and the dead, and what happens when it’s crossed. Oppel brings us Ghostlight, a story following Gabe, whose summer job is to scare tourists with ghost stories until he accidentally summons the spirit of a dead girl. Kashiwaba’s Temple Alley Summer features Kazu, who plans to solve the mystery surrounding the Kimyo Temple, a place linked to the long-forgotten legend about bringing the dead to life. Tingling spines guaranteed. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
