2020 was a year that shook the world, challenging the way we work, how we reach customers, and publishers’, booksellers’, and libraries’ roles in the community. What should we take from the year’s upheavals, and how can we adapt and be more resilient going forward? How can we support staff and boost job satisfaction? How can we create community and engagement online? How can publishing further social and environmental justice? The 19th edition of Book Summit looks to how we can look after the triple bottom line and foster a thriving, sustainable industry.
Taking place virtually on June 17, the day-long professional development conference will explore current industry issues with a variety of panel discussions. The day will include a keynote address by Zahra Al-Harazi.
Book Summit is presented by the Book and Periodical Council, in partnership with the Toronto International Festival of Authors.
